MIA Welcomes Steven Denton

MIA is thrilled to announce our newest staff member, recent Georgetown Law graduate Steven Denton. Mr. Denton gained significant experience in refugee and asylum law while attending Georgetown, including internships with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Refugees International, and the Arlington Immigration Court. Prior to law school, Mr. Denton volunteered as a tutor with one of our esteemed shared-space partners at The Commons, the Refugee Empowerment Program.

Mr. Denton is a participant in the Georgetown Law Entry Into Practice Program, which provides funding for recent law graduates to work in nonprofit organizations like MIA. Mr. Denton’s expertise will be particularly valuable to us as the number of child asylum-seekers we represent continues to grow.
