Mariah Melena is an Immigration Justice Fellow in the Children’s Project. She received her JD from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law. While in law school she was the President of the Latinx Law Student Association and was a student attorney in the Civil Rights Clinic, working on a compassionate release case. Prior to law school Mariah worked with several immigration nonprofits which prompted her to pursue a legal education and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Zambia.
When not working, Mariah enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, and propagating her plants.
