How Can We Help You?

If you or a family member are in need of legal services, please review our current services and referral processes before contacting us directly. If you believe you may qualify for our assistance, please call during regular business hours so we can complete intake. We cannot respond to every email inquiry, particularly if they do not fit within our service guidelines.

Help for Crime Victims

MIA accepts referrals for Memphis-area victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, stalking, and similar crimes through our partner organization, CasaLuzPlease contact CasaLuz for assistance, as we cannot accept clients under the  Survivors’ Project who contact us directly.
We cannot provide legal advice to non-clients who call requesting assistance with completing immigration forms. We are a nonprofit law firm providing specific direct legal services to our clients, and unfortunately we do not have the resources to provide general legal advice to the public.

Are You a Client of MIA?

If you are a client of MIA, and need assistance with a form related to your case, please send us a message.

Due to the nature of our work, MIA does not typically provide volunteer opportunities to the general public. However, if you have special experience or skills (social work, counseling, professional interpretation/translation capabilities, etc.), we would be happy to discuss ways we can work together to assist our clients.

If you are an attorney seeking to provide free legal services, please contact Memphis’s Joint Immigration Pro Bono Coordinator, Lauren Prater, at 901-529-4596 or complete the online request form. Ms. Prater coordinates pro bono training and referrals for MIA and Community Legal Center. We truly appreciate the valuable work of pro bono attorneys who volunteer their time, experience, and resources to help our community. If you have special experience or skills you would like to share to assist our clients (social work, counseling, professional interpretation/translation capabilities, trauma assessments, etc.), we would be happy to discuss ways we can work together. Contact us for more information.

For General Inquiries, please send us a message and we will do our best to respond promptly.
