I am a graduate of Lee University (BA, Teaching English to Speaker of Other Languages). Prior to joining MIA, my experience as a case worker and interpreter helping Refugees to resettle in the United States. I joined MIA because I am passionate about empowering and helping immigrant families have a voice, and assisting those in need. As I grew up in Pakistan as a refugee and lived in Afghanistan, Mongolia and now the U.S., l understand the struggles and challenges of living in a different country seeking a better life and I wanted to give back in any way I could.
