Dominique R. DeFreece is the Survivors’ Project Civil Law Clerk received her JD from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. She earned her BA in International Studies and History from Rhodes College. While earning her JD, she was Chief Justice of the Honor Council, President of the Public Action Law Society, an Articles Editor for Volume 53 of The University of Memphis Law Review, and clerked for the Shelby County Public Defender’s Office and Shelby County Chancery Court.
In 2023, she was honored by the Leo Bearman, Sr. American Inn of Court as the recipient of the Outstanding Pupil Award.
