Family Unity Project Associate Ivonne Mandujano is responsible for administering our Legal Orientation Program for Custodians of unaccompanied children. She is an Accredited Representative, authorized by the Department of Justice to represent immigrants in matters before the Department of Homeland Security. In this capacity, she provides representation to immigrants, including asylees and survivors of violent crime, seeking permanent residence.Ivonne is a graduate of Rhodes College, where she studied International Relations and Latin American Studies and was a member of the Theta Chapter of Sigma Iota Rho National International Studies Honor Society and the Alpha Phi Epsilon Chapter of the Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society. Her areas of interest include gender-based asylum claims and female empowerment/advocacy programs. At MIA, Ivonne knows that she makes a difference in clients’ lives. “I get to build relationships with our clients and be a part of their story.”
