Lupita V. Martinez is a Children’s Project Staff Attorney. She received her JD from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law with a certificate in Advocacy. She earned her BA in legal studies also from the University of Memphis. While earning her JD, she volunteered at the Shelby County Public Defender’s Office, was President of the Hispanic Law Student Association, and served as a member of the Moot Court Board. In 2021, Lupita was honored by the Memphis Bar Association as the recipient of the Law Student Champion of Justice Award in recognition of her commitment to pro bono work. Recently, her story was published in the Summer 2022 issue of the Memphis Law Magazine.
