Savannah Gonzalez, MIA’s Chattanooga-based Children’s Project Coordinator, worked for Chattanooga Head Start & Early Head Start prior to joining MIA. With Head Start, Savannah interpreted for Spanish-speaking families while supporting young dual-language learners in the development of their home language. Savannah is passionate about empowering children, helping immigrant families have a voice, and assisting those in need. She joined MIA because its mission is close to her heart, as she grew up seeing the struggles of immigrants and wanted to contribute in any way she could. Savannah loves traveling, plants, and art.
