MIA is proud to welcome our first full-time, permanent executive director, Alicia R. Horst. Alicia started with MIA on November 1, 2021 after an extensive search by our board of directors started earlier in the year. Prior to joining MIA, Alicia served as Executive Director of NewBridges Immigrant Resource Center in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, where she started their Immigration Legal Program and became a DOJ partially Accredited Representative.
In her role as Executive Director, Alicia will continue to expand awareness of the need for affordable immigration legal counsel by supporting MIA’s amazing legal team and leading MIA’s fundraising efforts. Her compassion, vision, and insight are an ideal fit to lead MIA, and we are deeply grateful to have her on our team.
